The time has come for this 11 month adventure to come to an end. We made it!
This past week we spent a few days on this little Island called Pangkor. This was a sweet time with the squad to rest, connect and worship together one last time.

For my birthday last Monday, we went to this amazing restaurant right on the beach. The tables were literally 10 yards from the waves. I took a few moments by myself to wade in the water and watch the waves. And as I stood there, I was reminded of the few days I had in Florida before we launched to Ecuador nearly a year ago!
I remember I went to the beach to watch the sunrise and have a little chat with the Lord about this crazy adventure ahead of me. I remember hearing Him say that He was going before me to prepare the way. A few days later, I looked out the window of the airplane and saw Him there too, saying, “I’m behind you, too. I got your back.”
And now, as I am standing on the beach in the nighttime, I can’t help but think how full circle this thing has come! As I look back at this year, I see how the Lord was with me every step of the way. And as this season is ending—He is still there, unchanging as ever. He is still back there in every country I visited:
Building that church in Ecuador,
Building up the youth in Peru and bringing light into the community of Laredo,
Saving those families and boys from the streets of Bolivia,
Sitting in those classes and coffee shops with the students of Albania,
He is changing lives at that beautiful camp in Romania,
Loving those children in South Africa as they play sports instead of doing drugs,
Raising up those boys into men in Mozambique,
Kissing my little Coscon on the cheek in Swaziland and rescuing those kids from poverty,
Walking down Bangla Road in Thailand and bringing hope and light to those women,
Holding my little Soklee and all the children of the slums in Cambodia, and
Taking back the migrant workers, sex workers and homeless in Malaysia.
And get this! He is also going with me into this next season.
He’s got my future in his hands.
This journey started on a beach at sunrise and ended into the night at a beach on the other side of the world. But, guess what?! A whole new journey starts in the morning again…but instead of beaches, it will be in the mountains!
