I don’t have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way He loves us.”

 It is too late.
I have already seen it.
I have already walked the streets,
Gone into the bars,
Talked to them.
I am no longer naïve to this world.

The “sex industry” has names and faces now.
I cannot change what I saw,
What I said,
Where I went,
Who I talked to.
I saw a lot of things on Bangla Rd. that made me sick, sad and angry.

But if the Lord can make beautiful things out of dirt,
He can make Bangla a beautiful place too.
And I can choose to take what I saw and learn from it.
I can choose to no longer live ignorant or naïve to this world.
I can choose to remember all the faces, all the names and all the relationships that were built this month.
I can choose to be different as a result.
I can choose to take what I have learned and glorify the Lord.

This is how we remembered the names of the girls we met

And here is what I learned in Thailand:

The spiritual battle is intense.
Worship, intercession and intimacy with the Lord is absolutely vital.
Men and women of the Lord will continue to invade Bangla with the Light.
Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Love can be found in hopeless places.
I am a carrier of the Lord’s beauty.
Satan is jealous of and viciously attacks the beauty of a woman.
I know that I want to use dance to make the world a more beautiful place—
And more importantly, I want to show people their beautiful identity in Jesus.

Thailand was a difficult month emotionally (and some physically too).
But the Lord is making beautiful things out of the dirt in Thailand.
And I refuse to leave this place in regret,
Because I know the way the Lord loves us, loves them, loves me-
Beautifully, perfectly, unconditionally…
And all in spite of the “prostitute mentality.”
