So how are y’all
doing this afternoon?  Seems about
time for me to write an update, especially since God has caused some pretty
sweet things to happen over the past week! Oh, disclaimer – violets are never
mentioned. I just wanted another word that started with a V and it makes for a
good title. The only thing I can say about flowers is that the early-summer air
smells wonderful with their light, sweet scent!

So how about when I
got back from training camp I had $1000 more than before? God rocks! Support
raising is going slow but it’s alright because I know He’ll provide for me. He
told me beforehand that I’d be mostly self-funded so I’ve been working and
saving a lot. Thank you to everyone who has helped support me so far; you know
who you are and I love and appreciate you very much ^_^

This past weekend,
I drove to a tiny little town called Corry in the middle of nowhere, my
boyfriend’s hometown, and was privileged to speak at his mom’s church. Everyone
at Clymer United Methodist Church was so supportive and interested; it
refreshed my spirit and made me excited all over again! The congregation
allowed me to share my story and what I’d be doing and were very open and
encouraging.

Another answer to
prayer just came this morning. I went to get all of my vaccinations (expensive
things, those. And the stories about the diseases are rather unnerving… God,
keep me healthy!). I’m not scared of needles but I’m not the biggest fan of
shots and I usually feel a bit drained and sore afterwards. I prayed that God
would help me through it. Four hours later, I have suffered no ill after-effects. It’s
possible that I might even have more energy than normal! And only one of the
three shots hurt! PRAISE GOD!

Ok, that about
wraps up this post. I’ll try to keep these short and sweet since I know
attention spans are limited and there’s nothing of huge interest happening
right now. OH! Right, I’m participating in a neighborhood garage sale this
Saturday and I’d love to see you there! Location is at my house and it begins
at 8 and runs til 2. God bless!
