Well it looks like my time in Bangkok is about to come to an end. Sunday me, Tana and the guys from team Lo are jumping on a bus for a 12 hour ride up north to a place called Chaing Mia. I hear it’s one of the most beautiful places in Thailand. I’m just pumped because it’s up in the mountains so it won’t be so dang hot! The plan is to stay with the locals in a village about an hour outside of town. It’s pretty remote so I’m not sure how luxurious our accomodations will be. But at least we will get cold showers, which is better than no showers. Our ministry will range from lots of manual labor like digging sewage ditches (I know you’re thinking how lucky I am) to preaching! Ha! Not sure how I’ll do at that, the preaching that is. I’m just better off telling my story and how God is working in my life. I’m sure if I tried preaching AT anyone it probably wouldn’t go over so well. The best part about this country is 80 to 90 percent of the folks here are buddhist. So I see it as a great chance to be Christ’s ambassadors. I figure if I can just love on folks and serve them with all my heart, soul and mind my heavenly Father will be pleased! Plus people tend to respond to actions instead of words.

Now since I’ll be in the “sticks” for the next month I won’t get a chance to get to the internet much. I’ll try to check in and post blogs at least once a week. Also don’t forget my birthday is the 17th so I expect to see lots of happy birthday comments!
