Well it looks like my blogging days have come to an end – at least for a while. Thursday we fly into Hong Kong and then a couple days later we’ll make our way in to China. For those of you that don’t know, China is a closed country and it’s illegal to preach the Gospel. So we gotta go in undercover as students and that means we can’t be up in internet cafe’s pulling up Christian websites. Word is the government monitors that kind of thing. And if we get caught, we get kicked out – no big deal really. BUT, by getting caught, we’d expose our local contacts and that could be deadly for them.
So here’s the deal, even though I won’t be blogging, you can still email thru this site by going to “contact me”, you can still post comments and you can still email me at rustyjackson2002@yahoo. BUT, please don’t make any God comments, references or anything like that. Keep it nice and simple. This will be the policy from October 14th thru November 11th. And if you do send an email, don’t be worried if I don’t write back right away, I’m not sure how much internet access we’ll have. Again, please know we’re doing this for the safety of our local contacts.
Also if you’re curious what kind of ministry work we’ll be doing – so am I! Everything has been on the hush, hush until we get there. I did hear something I’ll pass along, apparently my group may get a chance to go deep into eastern China, in which we would be backpacking to different remote villages. So far that’s just the rumor, but I can’t wait to work with the underground church. Last stat I saw there were 111 million Christians in China – all underground and all risking their lives for Christ! It’s gonna be an amazing experience.
Other than that, things are great. We got back to Bangkok this past Saturday and we’ve just been chilaxin’ as my friend Becca would say:)

I love the free refills at the Sizzler! – Plus all the dessert:)

Me with my gals, Leah, Alyssa, Lynette, and Amy!
