This past weekend Ericka and I celebrated our first and only
Valentine’s Day as an engaged couple.

And I can guarantee you folks, we’ll never forget it!

Now, before your gag reflexes kick in – HA! This story is
not so much about us, as it is about our wonderful World Race family here in
Michigan who flat out blew me and Ericka away by blessing us with an amazing
evening. I mean, check out the picture of this set-up they had waiting on us!

The girls called it “The Tavern of Love” and it was
absolutely breathtaking. The place was illuminated by, I’d say more than a
hundred candles, and they had just the right dinner music picked out. Andi and
Kim seated us and served us good ole southern sweet tea – something you can’t
find here in the north. The meal was excellent – we started with ceasar salad
and then moved to the main course – boneless turkey breast, mashed potatoes and
green beans. We ended our meal with Sarah’s wonderful apple crisp and ice cream
desert. We even had our own personal
photographer – thanks Caroline!

After dinner they took us into the “sitting room” and served
us coffee. That’s where we finished our evening – nearly speechless.
Matt, Kim, Sarah, Andi and Caroline – we are blessed and humbled
by ya’ll. Thank you for all the time and effort ya’ll put into making our
Valentine’s Day a day to remember.

It was beautiful – and so are ya’ll.
