Well Ladies & Gentlemen…here’s our Friday Update! (written by my wife)

Late night meetings. Any of you who know me well
know that the later it gets, the better I get! No matter how much I
sleep, I do not function well in the mornings. If you want creativity
from me, my best will come during late afternoon through the wee hours
of the morning! Lucky for me, I got to have a late meeting Monday
night. Ryan & Tina Essmaker came over for spaghetti, and stayed for
coffee and brainstorming. I cannot say enough GREAT things about this
couple!!! They have volunteered to create a web site and print work for
FREE for The Sound of Hope campaign (to raise awareness & funds for
orphans). They are both SO gifted and have some wonderful ideas! We
worked until almost midnight casting vision, discussing needs, and
coming up with new ideas to take this campaign to the next level! I am
THRILLED at what the next few months hold as we work together on this,
and SO THANKFUL to have them as a part of our campaign!

Thanksgiving. Thursday night was our weekly
“family dinner”, which just happened to be THANKSGIVING! We know we’re
almost 2 months early, but our dear friend Andi is headed back out on
the mission field. Andi will be co-leading a World Race squad for the
next 3 months and will miss Thanksgiving with her family, so we
celebrated early so she could enjoy some turkey! We always have so much
to be thankful for, so it wasn’t too tough! Please keep Andi in your prayers as she heads out into the nations!

I’ll be home for Christmas. Yes, it’s true!
Though we were planning to be overseas doing mission work for the
holidays, our plans have changed. Our trip was canceled due to
insufficient funds. We are disappointed, but we are choosing to trust
God anyway! (and looking forward to being home for Christmas.) Read all
the details here:We are NOT going overseas.

Support news. Though we still have ‘insufficient
funds’, we are rejoicing in some good news in our support raising.
We’ve had several people sign up as monthly donors this month- PRAISE
THE LORD! We also had a dear woman volunteer her sky-miles for when we
are able to plan another trip to Thailand. (thank you Brea!!)
To all of you who are giving, you have really encouraged us this month.
We are continuing to raise support in the hopes of having a healthy
support account again. Once that happens, we will be able to go back
overseas! If you feel led to give, click here! Support Us!
Office space. Last weekend I was able to get part
of our home office decorated and set up. YAY! Now I have a beautiful
used desk and a place to organize my work. It has already made me more
productive, and it’s a blessing not to have ‘work’ strewn all over our
home! There are still some things I’d like to change, but I am loving
it! For those of you who wanted to see the office- here’s a picture of
my workspace. (Rusty’s side is still ‘under construction’ 😉

There’s one more close up photo I put online too. JustBrowse My Photos to see!

Well, that’s all we have this week! We’re looking forward to college football this weekend,
and getting a little more work done along the way. HAPPY FRIDAY!
