Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all having an amazing day. I know it has been while since I have posted a blog and I apologize. I will post more regularly and take you guys on this amazing journey with me. There has been many important questions that people have asked, it is, “Why are you doing this”, “Why are you leaving for so long”, or “What are you going to do”. I feel like it can be summarized in two words, God and hope. I want to spread the love of God and give people a sign of hope. That there is someone who loves them unconditionally and is calling for them. Even Through all the struggles and disappointments, you can find joy and peace.

The other day I was talking to one of my teachers about why I am doing this and what change I may impact. I remembered a story I heard a while back. It was about a little boy at the shore. The story goes, “One day a man was walking along the beach and he noticed a boy picking up starfish and gently tossing them back into the ocean. The man asked the boy what he was doing and the boy informed him that he was saving the starfish. The boy explained that the tide was going out and that without help the starfish would get stranded and die on the beach, so he was saving them. The man laughed at the boy declaring that there were miles and miles of beaches and hundreds of starfish and that there was no way he was making a difference. The boy listened to the man and then politely disagreed as he bent down to pick up another starfish and tossed him into the ocean, he looked at the man, smiled and said, I made a difference for that one”.

I know that I may not be able to make a huge impact and change a whole country, but I know that I am able to change one person‘s life. Knowing that I made a difference in one person and gave them hope, joy, and peace. Sometimes the only thing someone need is a sign of love or peace in their hearts. I can’t wait to be part of a journey where I get the opportunity to make an impact in someone. I can’t wait to see God work in radical ways and I know that my life will also be impacted. I know I can’t do this on my own, but I am not alone. Every step of the way, God is right there with me.
