I was spiritually attacked the first few days in India. I was not able to sleep well due to restlessness or nightmares. The first night, I couldn’t sleep for a few hours and so I began to pray for my team and squad. The 2nd night, I had a nightmare of a woman whose arm was bare bone and it was shaped like a crab claw. The 3rd night, in my nightmare three girls from my team and I were attacked from behind by men who had chicken feet for legs. They held us tightly and there was no way to get out of their grip. In that moment in my dream, I remember that I have power and authority in Christ. I commanded that they release us and I rebuked the demons out of them in the name of Jesus.
I woke up with fear gripping my heart. I flipped through my bible and a card caught my attention. I received this “Promise Scripture” in the month before in Ireland. The interesting thing is that I received the same promise twice in the same week.
Deuteronomy 31:8, “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged”.
I memorized that scripture and it comforted my spirit and reminded me of God’s protection over my life. It is so interesting how God knows what I need before I know I need it and I am so grateful that He does his will over mine. Thankful that He is good and faithful to me even when I am stubborn.
