We slept inside the church with our tents up because mice would roam around. Our bathing conditions were in a small room that consisted of a bucket and a small cup to use to scoop up the water. Our toilet was called a long drop which is basically a squatty potty outhouse. We got our warm water from a faucet outside that was received from a nearby stream. Our food was prepared by one of the students, Mikey.
- We would eat either porridge or oatmeal every morning for breakfast.
- For lunch we would usually have homemade bread.
- Dinner, usually consisted of rice or maize with some type of canned meat
We did not have a refrigerator and so nothing was cold. On Sunday's Kayla our contact's wife would make a wonderful meal for us. So TASTY! Then we would go to the nearby lodge and eat carrot cake and have nice cold drinks. The power we used was supplied by solar power.
