Upon graduating from Valley Forge Christian College, I questioned my ability to adequately fulfill ministry positions. However, I realized that it’s not about me and the skills (or the lack of skills) that I have, but it’s about if I am willing to surrender my dreams, goals, and desires for the will of God for my life.

“God does not call the qualified but He qualifies the called” by Rev. Michael Beckwith.

This quote has literally changed and challenged my thinking these last couple of months. I have come to realize that God has created in me a passion for youth and missions. I was not born with the skills necessary to meet those qualifications, but through experiences and challenges, I learned that God develops those qualities in His chosen people. I am reminded of Joseph and David and the trials and heartaches they went through. It was in those times that God broke them and restored them.

The World Race is an amazing opportunity to love, minister and serve others. At the same time, I know before I applied that it will be a time of brokenness in my life–a time of shattering my fears, ignorance, and pride. It’s funny how God not only works through his servants to minister to others, but how through ministry he ministers to his servants.

“The World Race is a stretching journey into 11 countries in 11 months to serve ‘the least of these’ while amongst real and raw community. This unique mission trip is a challenging adventure for young adults to abandon worldly possessions and a traditional lifestyle in exchange for an understanding that it's not about you; it's about the Kingdom”.

Thank you for joining me on this journey around the world in 11 months.

My hope is that you may join with me as I travel to these 11 countries. I believe through your support, together WE will be reaching out to the lost, broken, weak, and hungry. I need you to assist me throughout this journey with your prayers, financial support, words of encouragement, and love.

As I begin this process to prepare for the World Race, I will be updating my blog and facebook group with my excitement and concerns about the World Race. I want to be real with all of you because this decision to be obedient to the call that God has given me is exciting and scary. I will be leaving my family, security, and friends (the things I value the most) behind and allow God to refine me as I minister to others.

Join me in this amazing opportunity to reach the nations. Allow it to transform you as it has already begun to transform my life. I ask that you prayerfully consider financially supporting me throughout this race. Click on the Support Tab on the Left-Hand Corner to find out how you can support me in this race.

Love because you are Loved,
