Emotions are a main source that determines my thoughts and actions.

Coming onto the race, I thought I would fall in love with the people, the ministry, and the country…

The feelings of love did not pierce my heart for the people, the ministry or the country…

My heart didn't break when I would walk outside our home and see the poor and needy…

How could I be so heartless for the people around me?

I Didn't Feel the LOVE!

This has been my struggle this month in Romania…

The lack of feeling Love!

However, yesterday I was reminded that Love is Not a Feeling…

It is a CHOICE to Love!

Rewind to Training Camp in May

One evening, I was extremely frustrated over multiple situations:

  • Extremely thirsty and hungry
  • Bombarded with people during our Market Place experience
  • Lack of feeling poured into

Any comment at that moment would have pushed me over the edge…

No later did someone say something to me and my heart was inflamed with anger…

I couldn't concentrate on praying because I allowed my emotions to control me…

We were asked to sit alone and ask the Holy Spirit to speak to us…

This is what I heard,

"Rely on me alone to refill you and walk into what I have called for you to do"

Afterward, I was standing by the person whom I blamed for my frustration…

I stepped out of my emotions and stepped into Choosing LOVE!

I went up to them and sincerely encouraged them and prayed with them…

In that moment of choosing Love, my distorted feelings and thoughts toward that person were crushed…

Fast Forward to Yesterday

The person that I encouraged that night…

Told me the words I spoke over them had wrecked them in a good way…

I have learned that when you step out in LOVE!

In spite of your feelings…

Lies will be broken!

Love will overcome!

Have you let your emotions take over your decisions?

God Calls YOU to Love!

"Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law" – Romans 13:8-10
