This month in Nepal, I was hit with team changes and ministry I wasn’t looking forward to. This month our team was set out to “Ask The Lord” and “Unsung Heroes”.

Ask The Lord: Our team is to ask the Lord where to go and who to meet and what to do.

Unsung Heroes: Finding new contacts for Adventures in Missions for future World Race teams.

As a team we prayed about going to Pokhora which is a 7 hour bus ride from Katmandu. The Lord confirmed it to our team to go to Pokhora. We woke up the next morning at 5am and walked 15 minutes to the bus station with our 40-50lbs packs. Bus rides in Nepal are cramped and BUMPY! I can’t tell you how many times I flew up from my seat.

Our time in Pokhara was spent finding and meeting ministry contacts in that area. It was amazing to see how God orchestrated the people we met. We talked with Americans who have come overseas to do the Lord’s work in that area. Also the Pastor of a church we came across has an amazing ministry and testimony.

·      When he was a teenager he found out that Christians were helping the sick. He heard people say that the Christians would only help those that converted to Christianity. He was outraged and went to authorities to persecute them. However, the authorities needed more evidence and so he went to the Christians. When he went to approach them, he heard the Gospel and from then on his life was transformed and he became a believer in Christ alone. His family disowned him because of his conversion. His family now meets together but they are still Hindu.

o   Pray for the salvation of his family

This Pastor gave us ministry during our time in Nepal. We hiked up 7 hours to a village to minister to a family and hiked back down for 5 hours. A total of 12 hours hiking since 7 AM one morning. A few days later we hiked up 2 hours to another village with small packs because we stayed overnight. I had amazing calves after the hikes but in so much pain.
