Hello everyone,
I realize I haven’t posted in a while. While I can come up with many reasons why I didn’t, it boils down to one. I just didn’t have a good enough blog that I wanted to share. I am however going to tell you about my time in El Salvador and of the beautiful people there.
El Salvador was beautiful, we partnered with Andrea and her family in the El Tunco community. We were on the beach and got to enjoy many sunsets and sunrises.  The ministry was originally founded by her little brother as part of a surf ministry. Later on her father decided to start the church for the people in the neighborhood.

During our time there we served with the summer program called La Casita. La Casita is a 6 weeks program for the children in their summer time. We taught English, computer, art and life skills. It was great to watch the children come alive while learning. As part of our ministry, we also had the opportunity to visit an orphanage called Remar. We served alongside another group from the US. It was fun learning how to make bracelet with thread with the children, making angels while enjoying each other’s presence. We got a glimpse of their women ministry and saw first hand the many ways Andrea and her family are involved in the community.
As a team we did Christmas together. We had a huge brunch that we cooked for ourselves and did a small gift exchange. We watched movies all night Christmas Eve and set off fireworks at midnight. Although we were not with our families, Christmas couldn’t have been better. We celebrated as our own little family.
I met many children whose name are with me forever. The ones I remember most are Kevin our little surfer boy, Christopher and Adonai who both got saved before we left. Christopher and Kyrian who both can’t read and David who is so sweet. Wilber who calls me hermana, Dayana and her sister Maria Elena, Andrea and her sister Noemi. There are so many more whose smiles have been engraved on my heart forever but I won’t name them all.
My time in El Salvador was beautiful, the people of El Salvador were even more beautiful. This was only month 3, I have seven more to go. I want to take this time to thank everyone who has been supporting me so far. I’m still a long way from meeting my last deadline, please consider donating or sharing with other who might be interested.
Until next time!
