Where am I from? I was born in Columbus,Ga and lived in Atlanta for a period of my life but due to my dad’s job we moved to Jacksonville,FL and have lived there since I was 13. I currently live in Charlotte,NC.
What is my favorite band? I love love love Hillsong. Ever since I saw them at Passion i’ve been in awe of them. There music is so real and connects with every faucet of life. You can’t listen to Hillsong and not feel moved to worship or even jump around.
What’s my dream job? I originally wanted to play Professional Baseball and still have that dream. I’m a pitcher for Belmont Abbey and I’m a senior. I have always put all my eggs in baseball and lately I’ve turned it over to God and if ministry, baseball, or marketing/sales is what I’m meant to do then God will show me the path.
What things do you do at church to volunteer? I currently attend Elevation in Charlotte and am on the Welcome/First Time guest team. I am in charge of greeting new comers and making them feel welcome . They have questions, want to pray, or feel moved by their first time at Elevation then I’m there for that. The goal is making people feel loved and welcomed because you don’t know how/what there life is like out of church or if they know Christ. You don’t want a bad attitude to ruin a relationship with God and them.
What do I like to do for fun? I love sports, working out, going to the beach and just relaxing. If it’s nice outside I will be outside. I’m not one to stay inside and watch movies all day. I like being productive and doing something with my day.
Why am I doing this mission trip? I feel like God has called me to give up my life for a year to not only minister to others but to realize how other people need the gospel. I’m not one for going out of my comfort zone but God has ben showing me through various trials, sermons, and through people that he has been preparing me for this for years now. All I can do is be obedient to what God is putting in my heart. In the past year though, God has been working, shaping, and molding my heart in ways that is indescribable. He will see his work to completion in my life.
