Hello all! Thanks for coming to my blog! I just wanted to take some time to tell you a little about me!
My home town is a little place called Liberty, Pennsylvania with a population of less than 300 people. I grew up in a Christian home that attended church every Sunday, went to a Christian school, went to youth group every week and went to a Christian summer camp every year. I’ve known about Jesus my whole life and I was constantly surrounded by people who did too. My “life” we just me going through the motions of the people around me. I didn’t have a relationship with Jesus of my own, I was borrowing other’s relationships with Him.
Throughout the years, I’ve gone through some pretty rough patches with family, friends, school, etc. Along the way, only by the grace of God, I’ve been able to build and grow my own relationship with Jesus. I went form a girl being angry and bitter with God, to a girl who longs to be the hands and feet of Jesus. I’ve learned to give my anxieties over to the Prince of Peace and my struggle with depression and self love to the God of Comfort. I’m striving to have the Light of Jesus shine through me wherever I go, and that’s why I’m so excited to be apart of this Gap Year program. I’m ecstatic to be surrounded by people my age who have the same desires as me, to help me grow, help me learn, and help me share the love of Jesus.
