I’m so excited for this new season the lord has laid upon me! Although it took me awhile to accept it, its HAPPENING !!! I had a friend on Facebook who launched on the 11th month World Race over a year ago and I would see all the pictures and blogs she posted! I followed her on her journey and I admired what she was doing, but I never knew that I would be a World Racer!
I thought the lord gave me a path to follow go to college, get your nursing degree, and then join the Air force. I never thought he had plan for me to go on a 9 month missions trip! But the lords plan changed for me and it was hard for me to accept it, I was COMFORTABLE right where I was I have a great job, my relationships with family is great, and I was closer to the lord than I have ever been why would I want to change that? I started an application but never finished it, I kept putting it off ignoring the fact that the lord wanted me to do this to be his vessel but I was comfortable and didn’t want to change that! I prayed for months repeatedly asking him “are you sure?” questioning him and ignoring the fact the World Race is what he wants me to do. About a month ago I went up to Georgia to visit my cousin Melissa and her family and in a conversation she mentioned The World Race, in that moment I knew it was a sign from god and I couldn’t ignore it any longer! I applied that day and couldn’t be any happier!
It’s time for me to get out of my comfort zone and I couldn’t be more excited to start this new season and see where the lord leads me and to see how he uses me!
During the 9 months I will be traveling to Thailand, Cambodia, Honduras, Guatemala, and Ethiopia! I will be ministering to those who are lost and don’t know the lord, going to orphanages and schools, serving sex trafficking victims, the youth, and loving on the community!
In order for me to do what the lord has called me to do I need your help! I need to raise almost 15,000 to be fully funded! This cost will cover housing, travel expenses, food, and more!
