The week of May 18th I went to White GA, for The World Race Training Camp!
I put together a video of my time there.
I hope this helped you understand the week I had. I met 50 other 20 year olds following after Gods heart.
Our leaders prayed for who should be on the same team which is made up of seven individuals. We also did team building activities to see how we work together. The name Chaya is the Hebrew name meaning life or restoration.
In the back on the left there is Autumn Harper, Brette Fischer, team leader Jillian Paul. In the middle Hailey Burger, front left to right me, Terin James, Nicole Mong.
We will arrive in the country with all 50 from my squad, then break up and go to a city or area with just my team of seven.
Wrapping up my time in the States,
I have been working at target for the last year and a half. I start work at 4:00 a.m. unloading the semi truck, then putting the product on the shelf. Then for the next three hours I stack yogurt inside a cooler. I look like I am ready for a snowball fight when I enter the cooler. I have enjoyed meeting new friends and having my afternoons and evenings off. My last day at Target will be June 19th; giving me time to say goodbye to friends and family for a year.
This school year I have been helping out at my friend Peggy Kohl’s kindergarten class, about once or twice a week. I learned that I love kids more than I thought. The kids let me read to them, at first it was scary because I am not a great reader, but as the school year progressed I learned they just liked being read to. I enjoyed spending time with the crazy silly loud kids. June 6th was the last day of school; so much fun see what they have learned in just a year.
