Dear Family and friends,
I want to write this letter to you to tell you about some exciting news. God has called me to an 11 month mission trip. As you know I went on a three month mission trip to Malaysia with YWAM last winter and I cannot stop talking about the impact it had on me. I knew God called me to be a missionary after one night at LIFE a Christian conference in Louisville, KY in 2010. We had a night when missionaries got to share about the country they served. One by one they walked in proudly carrying the flag of the country they were serving; they crossed the stage and lined up in front. The speaker called everyone to stand if they wanted to answer the call to be a missionary. I jumped out of my seat, wanting to yell to the world YES I will go and serve.
” Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. “
Jeremiah 1:5
This verse has been important to me because Jeremiah was my age or even younger when he was called to serve. I have loved this verse for some time now, even when I was just a toddler, God had told my mom I was going to be a missionary. Now I have an opportunity to go out into the world and spread the word.
I will be going with Adventures In Missions on their World Race program. It is 11 countries in 11 months. Crazy I know. I will not only be doing the Lords work, but letting the Lord work in my heart over the year too. I leave July 2013 till June 2014.

- Malaysia, Philippines
In each country my team of about eight missionaries and I will be doing something different. We will be working with the unique needs of the community. We could be doing anything from working with kids to adults, doing physical work or praying. Putting together a VBS, farming a field, praying with a homeless woman or a young lady in sex trade trafficking. Playing games with an energetic child or loving on special needs kids. Having dinner made for us by a loving family and trying new food. Going on prayer walks or teaching English. I will have a blog that I will be able to keep you updated on what every month or new adventure brings.
More than anything, I would value your prayers for me and my team and those whose lives will be touched by God through us. I believe that God answers prayers, and Im asking you to pray for safety, good health, reduced language barriers, and financial support. Just knowing that you will be praying will give me peace as I go into unfamiliar places.
Beyond your prayers, if you are led to join me by financially supporting me, I would be grateful. I need to raise $15,500 in order to go on The World Race, this will cover my expenses on The World Race and a weeklong training camp before I leave. This tax deductable financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a repeating monthly donation. You are able to choose the amount and beginning and end date of the monthly donations. If 50 people pledge $25 a month for 12 months, plus a few one-time gift I would be 100 percent funded!
