For many years I have asked God questions about humanity. I asked the questions most people ask: If God is good why do so many bad things happen? Why do innocent children die of hunger if God is a provider? I pray for this world, fast, and cry out to God and ask again. What are His plans for these people? What is He waiting for?
Through this journey and missions, I finally received an answer: God’s plan is me! God does not abandon His people. He calls those of us who know Him to show his love to everyone, and so often we ignore the call and fail those we’re meant to serve. I was scared when I realized that I was chosen for this. But I remembered that I was not created by chance! We are all born with a purpose, and often this purpose is about others, the people we will impact with the gifts God has given us.
The realization that I am meant to serve “the least of these” is what led me to the World Race. This is where I am called to be. I have had doubts, fear, and almost refused to answer this call, but everything in my life lined up to make God’s command clear and undeniable: “Rosa, go.” So here I am, preparing to take some very scary steps, leaving my friends, family, and entire life behind. Nothing but faith and certainty in my purpose could push me so far.
It’s a big responsibility to be the hands and feet of Christ. Only Jesus can save, but my job is to share the Good News that BRINGS people to Jesus and I don’t take this job lightly. I am so thankful for this opportunity. I can’t wait to go and share my experiences through this blog and show how the generosity of my supporters is being put to good use and furthering God’s kingdom. I hope you will all choose to subscribe to my blog and join me on this adventure.
Love,
Rosa.
