Hey hey hey!

Last month we left Africa and honestly I was sad. I wish we could have spent more time there. When we first landed I had told myself that Africa was just a stop to where I really wanted to go… Europe and South America. I didn’t think Africa was going to leave an impact on me but oh boy was I wrong. Being in Botswana was quite the experience cause we were surrounded by miles and miles of grass. Then we moved into South Africa where we had our debrief in Nelspruit, ministry work in Jeffrey’s Bay and our flight out of Cape Town to Europe. We arrived a couple of days early to Cape Town to get placed into new teams. What an exciting time huh!?

From January to June I did life with Team Deep: Hannah, Sam, Lindsay, and Hunter. These people were the ones that had to deal with the rush of my emotions, my attitude, drama and all of my imperfections. They dealt with that! Can you believe it? They were my encouragers, ears to listen, my prayer warriors, and the ones to hold me accountable. As time went by we learned more and more from each other. We learned our pet peeves, our moods, and the way we process our thoughts. I will forever be grateful for these people until the day I die! Thank you for all the amazing memories we made in Asia and Africa. I love you Team DEEP!

So moving forward I get to do life with some of the most incredible people on my squad. Our team name is AMERICANOS. I LOVE THE NAME!! We chose it cause we all have a huge passion for coffee, were all Americans and we’ll be spending most of our time in Spanish speaking countries! The people omg my team are Cari, Tanner, Jenna and Chelsea! Sadly, Chelsea had to leave back home to be with her family We will miss her so much. She’s a light of joy in every space she walks into! Chels if you’re reading this get ready for me to go visit you in North Carolina! I LOVE YOU!

You’re probably wondering why I titled this blog “Cape Town” lol. Well, the beauty of this place left me in awe. I could live here! It has been one of the most amazing cities I’ve ever been to. Before leaving we hiked up Lion’s Head to watch the sunset. As I was standing there staring at Table Mountain in front of me and the ocean shores pushing against the city below I asked the Lord “Why?”. Why are you so faithful to me? I don’t deserve your grace. I don’t deserve your love. And He said, “Yah but I died for that son… So you could have immeasurable grace and uncontainable love!!” He also reminded me of His promises with some of the areas in my life that I’m currently struggling through. I feel like I need to share this with you. You or someone out there may be able to relate with what God is teaching me in this season of my life. Remember that you’re not alone and we all have struggles.

– Feeling like you don’t deserve grace? HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT [2 Cor. 12:9]
– Doubting if God loves you because of what you’ve done? NOTHING WILL STOP HIM FROM LOVING US [Romans 8:37-39]
– Scared about your future? HE HAS A PLAN [Jeremiah 29:11]
– Feeling lost sometimes? HE WILL DIRECT OUR STEPS [Prov. 3:5-6]
– When you feel like you’re not able? GOD IS ABLE [2 Cor. 9:8]

Thank you for taking the time to read through this. I’ll be posting about our Europe travels soon! We’ve been meeting so many people on this journey and we get the opportunity to share our stories and the goodness of Jesus! Thank you for your support and for always praying for me!
