The Lord put a dream in my heart, He asked me to follow Him on an adventure and I said “yes“.
It wasn’t long after I committed to the race, that anxiety crept in about fundraising. The idea of raising over $16,000 was more than impossible for a girl like me. At first, I struggled with asking people for help, after a few rejections in the beginning. But I knew that I had heard the Lord and He would provide a way.
I can confidently say I have the BEST support team anyone could ask for. People who were willing to fight with me for my calling. People who were willing to stay up all night to set up for a garage sale, only to turn around 2 hours later and work the entire day. People who were willing to spend a weekend loading and unloading a truck full of items. People who were willing to take time and brainstorm ideas, or help write support letters. People who were willing to give for the Kingdom, and not even think twice about it. People who were willing to pray, believe and not accept anything less than God’s best.
To all of you who had a part in me being here today in Honduras, THANK YOU!
Because of you, I have been able to:
Build a church on Zapatera Island
Teach English to kids who do not go to school
Go house to house and pray for healing in sick people
See people led to a relationship with Christ
Love and care for people in the nursing homes
Work on a rehabilitation farm for at risk youth in Costa Rica
….and so so much more.
Mark 10:27
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
