Just wanted to give a thank you to everyone who asked questions! Quick update efore I get started, I am in Ecuador now and have already started ministry! I love it so far and I love speaking Spanish every day! Now lets get started on the questions
After the race what will I tell younger generations back home?
I think something I am going to do is try to explain to those younger than me that serving the lord isn’t a boring thing. I want to be able to share the cool things I have done while serving the lord.
How will I continue to serve the lord after the race?
I am currently tossing around plans for the fall semester as well as my future so that will determine if I will help out with kids at the church back home, or stay with World Race and go on another trip but lead it.
Quick testimony about Africa?
One of the coolest and hardest 4 months for me and my faith. Just a lot of finding who I am and what I am to the lord. A lot of questions but the hard times really did strengthen my faith so I know it was not a bad thing entirely A lot of poverty that hurt my heart a little bit. I got the opportunity to teach physics for 2 months and although it was something I didn’t want to do initially, I really enjoy it now. Just an amazing 4 months in general and I loved every second.
What is my goal for Ecuador/South America
My goal is to really connect with the people and culture. I do speak Spanish but improvements can happen and I am excited to strengthen that ability. Some goals are to preach, pray, and sing in Spanish.
How much effort does it take to keep a certain teammate focused on a travel day?
It usually doesn’t take too much effort. Everyone is pretty worn out for travel days so nobody is too crazy. Also, I am sure everyone on the squad doesn’t want to look like a typical American while traveling… the constant picture taking as well as the attention
Well that’s all the questions I have so this is the end of the blog! Thanks to the few who gave me questions and if anyone has any more feel free to message me or leave a comment!
Thanks to everyone for the love and support
