1. The act or process of revealing or uncovering.
One of the key ways God has grown me this year is through full disclosure with my teammates and my squad. I’ve listened to a few sermons by various pastors and read continually that a KEY to continued growth is to allow a group of close friends to have complete access to ask any question at any time about anything in your life. Meaning there is no out of bounds questions.
It’s amazing how God can show us so much when we allow others to speak into our lives. It has taught me so much about humility- listening to what God speaks to those close to me and sticking in there to hear a hard thing because I know they are saying it BECAUSE they LOVE me. And I need it to continue growth in the new creation God has created me to be.
Tough love, I would say after this year if someone really cares about you they will take the time to want to invest in you, by CONTINUALLY telling you the TRUTH. Too many relationships we crave to satisfy our flesh and have our ego stroked, but spiritual maturity shows when you can stay and listen to a hard thing and it may not be the easiest to hear.
So I speak from testimony, that in a few weeks many of you will see me and I am not the same. It’s because of God, how he has worked and changed my heart. Many things that I probably do not yet see or understand have contributed. A big factor was my team. God used the people closest to me, to show me the ugliest things about me.
And the coolest part? They see the ugly, they’ve have to confront me about sin that I get stuck in and they STILL LOVE ME. Even cooler? God sees it all and his LOVE never decreases.
Romans 8:38-39 summed up – NOTHING can separate us from the LOVE of God.
