Have you ever done or gone somewhere you felt God called you to?

And then after getting there the why in being there was completely different than what you had expected?

Is it possible that God can put things upon our hearts and the reason is totally different than what we had envisioned?

The road we thought it led to completely changes.

And maybe that can be applied to dreams. God could entrust us with them but what happens when it is only for a time?

My mom made a statement once saying, “God is an Indian giver.”

God is a God of constant revelation. We are to continually ask, seek, pursue or sometimes LET GO.

Think for a moment about a story found in 1 Samuel. Hannah is a woman I wholeheartedly admire.

She prays, begs, and even appears drunk to a priest as she desires a child. The thing she desires the most she tells God, I’ll even give the child you give to me right back to you.

Think of the dream, the passion, the person, or a specific desire you have and then imagine having it and then giving it right back to God.

We serve a God who gives us constant revelation; let’s continue to be constant pioneers and constant hearers of what God is saying.

Maybe the dream you had failed you, maybe it has taken you to a different road than expected, maybe you don’t know what to do now.

Continue to ask for revelation.

Richard Rohr “all great spirituality is about letting go.”
