I am now in Haiti and living at an orphanage named Canaan. The team I am on, Koinonia is teaming with team B.L.I.N.G. this month. Both teams are working at this orphanage which is about 2 hours from Port au Prince. I am so enamored by the work of God; we are surrounded by His amazing creation. To the left of us there are mountains and to the right is the beach and the beautiful ocean.
I am daily reminded of God’s faithfulness as the land the orphanage is on was bought for less than $60 U.S. dollars (93 acres). One of the founders Sister Gladys told us that when it began 18 years ago, there was only one small tree and they were told there would never be any trees or plants. There is now plenty of shade and plenty of trees and plants covering the ground.
