New country, new city, new team, no contacts.

Last Week C squad found out we would all be switching teams. This means that the team we had been doing ministry with the first 3 months would no longer exist. For me, the thought of that was awful. I love my old team so much and couldn’t imagine not being with them everyday.

Well the day came and we were announced our new teams.  Not only did we find out our new teams but we were also told we were the unsung hero team this month and we were going to the country of Macedonia! The only team going to Macedonia.

Let me explain:

Who is a unsung hero?

Men and women who are dedicated to serving some of the most impoverished populations in the world. Their names are not in history books and their acts are unknown to the rest of the world, while unrecognized , they shake a generation and move a culture and ultimately build the kingdom.

What we do (team Nuria) as the unsung heroes team this month in Macedonia:

The vision is to connect and network with unsung Heroes in an effort to come alongside them and provide lift to their efforts to further the kingdom. We are on a mission to find contacts for the World race (11n11) so they can send world race teams here to partner with these unsung heroes.

So yes, we have new teams and yes we are the only team in Macedonia this month…. without a plan, but how beautiful is it to trust God with everything. To trust him with a new team. To trust him with finding us a place to stay. To trust him to open up doors for us to meet unsung heroes! We’re human so it can be tough but what we do know is we can do all things. We know God is going to  provide and bring us closer as a team through this experience.

I was reading a book once and I remember this story so clear. It makes me think about the situation we are in as a team. This man was traveling the world doing missions. He had absolutely no money left, but he knew he could take a train that allowed him to pay for his ticket when he was half way to his destination. He knew God was gonna provide but first he had to take a step of faith! He was almost at the half way check in point when he started talking to a Doctor who was beside him. He was just having a conversation with him. He never told him he had no money or anything. The train conductor was coming through the isle collecting the money for the tickets. He was 2 seats away from the man who had no money and still he didn’t know how his ticket was going to be paid. As soon as the conductor got to his seat, the doctor he was talking to put his hand on the mans shoulder and said, I don’t know why but I just feel like I want to bless you and buy your ticket for you. Yep, that is how great our God is.

So tomorrow we are checking out of our hostel with no where to go. I think it’s amazing how we get to fully trust God in everything we do.  Isn’t that what it’s about? Even up to the last minute we will trust him and know he will pull through for us. We serve a big God who created this world by speaking it into existence. Surly he knows exactly what we need.

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13 NLT)

Please keep team Nuria in your prayers! We Love you all so much and appreciate all the support we are getting!
