My very first valentines day.
Guys my heart is so full! I just got over being super sick. I was lying in bed on feb 14 wondering if I would even be able to experience valentines day with my c squad family. But God is faithful and literally healed me.
So let’s be real. I’ve never had a boyfriend. That’s one fun fact about me. I never really had Christian guy friends around me who brought me up or loved me like Jesus would! So living in a community where everyone loves Jesus is new but super awesome!
I mean I’ve def met some good Christian guys before but when your not around them, you forget how much they can represent Christ! Let me just say I have Never experienced the love of a brother in Christ like I have on this day!
First of all its so cool when guys serve you with no intentions. Just straight up love! I have talked to so many girls have been hurt by guys and are afraid to date because there intentions are always to get something out of it! Girls on my squad have been so healed just by this one day. To all the girls out there who have lost all trust, who have been so hurt by actions of guys, and same with you guys, who have been hurt by women, can I just say there is hope. There are people out there that can love you and want beautiful things for you.
It started off like this. We where all welcomed with a rose. Then one of our c squad guys walked us to our spot where we would be treated to like a 4 part meal. Seriously God is so good cause not only was it a meal but it was my favorite kind of meal… Italian! Shout out to Jacob our head chef!
They served us so well… Always making sure our drinks were filled and everything tasted good!
After dinner they put on a show for us. Arden sang us 2 beautiful songs. One of them was even a original! Tony was a jack of all trades. He put on a magic show for us, rapped for us, recited a spoken word and even did a dance! Cody did some amazing acrobatic stunts, and
Dillion beat boxed. Then to end it well the boys of courageous love (D-will, Jayce, Tony and Jason) put together a dance that I can say…. No one will ever forget. It was just so thoughtful!
Then when I thought there couldn’t be more… The 2 talented photographers of our team held a photo shoot for us! (Jayce, my fellow Canadian and Matthew, the awesome American)
Then we got valentine cards from all the guys with their picture on it with encouraging words at the back! Ahhhh! And this doesn’t even explain it! It was so beautiful!! I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH!
It just comes down to this. Men can love well! There are men who want to just love you. Men who will encourage you and not bring you down. Who can and will treat you well! It’s Jesus in them that shines so bright. I’m
Encouraged! I know God has got the perfect guy for me but until then I will rest in the beautiful friendships of these amazing c squad men!
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. (John 13:34 NIV)
