Never Would I Ever Have Thought That…
I would EVER consider rice or beans the best part of a meal… especially, not during a year in which they're eaten for nearly every meal…
I would see friends choose to chow down on fish eyes… much less, without even being paid to do it… haha
I would climb or ride a horse up an active volcano… or roast marshmallows at the top
I would fracture my ankle 2 weeks into this trip… and cut off my cast 5 1/2 weeks later
I would live out of my tent (and love it)
I would share 3 toilets & 2 showers with over 50 people
I would live on a self-sustaining island in Nicaragua for a month
I would watch a gorgeous sunset from the middle of Lake Nicaragua
I would eat something that was still looking at me… aka: a whole fish
I would be served goat for Christmas (didn't need to eat it w/ all the other food I got)
my heart would be dispersed throughout over a dozen countries (workin' on it tho)
I would ever need to survive on only a few hours of internet a month
peanut butter, nutella, and cookies (esp. chickies) would be extremely prized possessions
I would pass a herd of goats in my yard while walking to breakfast
I would hear a toad get called a pig because of its size
I would see live scorpions and lizards fall from the ceiling
I would have 3 cockroaches living behind my bathroom sink
I would have to get a lizard out of our bedroom in order to be allowed to sleep
I would have inside jokes regarding the words freedom, cookie, or a cup of cheese
I would live with Miss Guatemala, Miss Honduras, and Miss Nicaragua all at once
I would go on a crazy, amazing, unexplainable 11 month journey around the world to spread God's word
