I've been in LA for a few days now, and it still doesn't seem all that real… it's been absolutely AMAZING to be back w/ some of my squad again and just having time to hang out 'n catch up before we start this grand adventure!
This is kinda how my week has played out thus far: I left my house just after 4am Tues. after only about an hour of sleep/rest time, flew from Atlantic City to Atlanta, met up w/ my team leader Ryan about an hour after landing, and then we flew out to LA together. We hung out at LAX with a bunch of our squadmates (and a squadmate's brother) for awhile then headed to our hostel. Wednesday we picked up 2 more ppl, went to "Deal or No Deal" w/ Wayne Brady after standing in the rain for like an hour or so w/ Jordan "the jukebox" & Jake providing free entertainment. Today, we walked around the Hollywood Walk of Fame, had 6 more ppl came and 5/6 quickly leave from our group b/c the team leaders & finance ppl have a red-eye flight bound for Guatemala tonight. The rest of our massive group gets here tmr and we all will officially have launched for the World Race! 🙂
As a squadmate & I were discussing a lil bit ago, it feels like we've all known each other forever and the group dynamic is real, raw, and super fun! Things seem a bit crazy to many, but I know it's only the beginning and I can't wait to get to work! Cont. prayers and support would be very much appreciated!
