(I'm currently in Honduras but haven't had internet until now… this is a blog that I wrote and was unable to post shortly before leaving Guatemala)

It's officially our last full day of the first month of our world race journey! It's still kind of unbelievable to think about. A lot has happened here in Guatemala that I never expected or planned, but I know that everything happens for a reason.

The rest of our squad got back to town yesterday and it's always good times when we're all together. 🙂 I've enjoyed seeing people who I haven't seen in weeks, hear stories about their ministry sites, and share with them what my team has been doing here in Antigua. My cast now has some color on it, too. Today is also the day I had to return my crutches, even though I'm supposed to be in the cast for another month. Joy! (please note the sarcasm) Update: The main ministry site of team Kaleo donated crutches as well as a walking boot for me to take to Honduras tomorrow. HUGE, unexpected blessing to say the least! Many thanks to Rachel for calling them the contact and to her and Laura for helping me get there/back!

We found out this morning that 2 of the babies at Casa Jackson were abandoned by their mother and will most likely be placed in an orphanage soon. No bueno! As soon as we found out, we were all in utter agreement that we would gladly take them on our journey if we could, and then they'd have 50ish parentals to love and care for them everyday. Please cont. to be in prayer for Casa Jackson, Casa Maria, the hospital we volunteered at, the orphanages and other contacts my squad has worked with this month, and all those involved with the ministries. Also, be in extra prayer for these 2 precious babies and those that will soon be entrusted to take care of them. Thanks guys! Love you all and will try to write from Honduras soon! We found out that all 50 of us will be camping out together for the month. My team will be working with teens/street kids throughout the week: 3 days in a school & 2 days at our contact Tony's house doing painting and other projects around their house alongside the teens. I'm excited!
