Praise be to God for hijacking our plans sometimes only to replace it with far better results! Today was definitely an unexpected day full of miracles, joy, worship, and companionship… oh yeah, and some pretty awesome food! 🙂

Initially, the plan for today was for the entire squad to spend the day at 2 places full of cobblestone streets, beautiful views, and lots of shopping. However, as the title of this blog states, our plans got hijacked by Jesus… again! (This happened to me last week, too) After a squad meeting with our contact Tony, we decided to change our plans and spent most of the day in a small patch of grass across the street from a small hospital. We spent the time in prayer and singing worship songs while awaiting extremely important news regarding the medical diagnosis of a single mother with 3 small kids and no health insurance that our contact often helps. After throwing up and being bedridden for the last month, as well as not helped at the local clinic, she was taken to the hospital yesterday and the doctor told Tony that it was highly possible that she might have stomach cancer. As I said, she's a single mother and the sole provider for her 3 kids and she's been unable to work for the last month… we serve an awesome God though! When the diagnosis came back, 2hrs earlier than expected, we found out that she had a bacterial infection that could be treated and she was released from the hospital. She was able to take her kids home today as well. Tony and some of the B-Squad girls went food shopping, etc. for their family and many prayers on their behalf would be greatly appreciated. She's an incredibly strong Christian woman and her kids are amazing!

Also, please be in cont. prayer for our contact Tony and our ministry here at Zion's Gate. Pray for wisdom, discernment, peace of mind, finances, etc. as well as open hearts/minds with the teens that Tony is building relationships with. Please be in prayer for the health of my squad as we're getting ready to travel again in the next couple of weeks, too. We also have another financial deadline fast-approaching in early Jan. and I'm still in need of around $4,300 to stay on the field. If you are able to help, please let me know or click the support tab on the left side of this blog. Thanks! Love you all!
