Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out my blog and reading more about me! For starters, my name is Robin and although I like reading other people's blogs, I've never been big on writing them, so hopefully this blog will be different. Here, I'll write updates when I can before, during, and probably shortly after the race to try and let you know more about me and what I'm up to.

Just like this blog, I'm a "work in progress" and I'm ok with that.

"I can do ALL things thru Christ who strengthens me!" Philipines 4:13

My God, family, and friends are my life! I literally couldn't ask for anything better! Most people say that their family/friends are the best, but mine really do take the cake & I couldn't be more thankful for them! :o)

I was born and raised in South Jersey… and NO, before you ask, it's not like the stupid tv show!

The beach is my fave place in the world to be and anything on/near the water makes me super happy! Especially, when not much of anyone else is around because it's all the more peaceful that way…

My 2nd fave place generally consists of a big city, public transportation, and lots of walking…

I love the outdoors but hate bugs/spiders more than words can express… and I've never been camping/hiking… so this should make for an interesting 11 months! lol

If it has something to do with music, artsy stuff, or adventure I'll happily participate nearly every time.

I'm not remotely exaggerating when I say that I'll happily listen to pretty much any style of music except for "screamo" or death metal… that's kinda where I have to draw the line… lol And ever since the beginning of college, I can no longer think or say that w/out hearing a music prof's voice in my head saying "you don't have to like it to appreciate it"

I attended Gardner-Webb University in a 1 stoplight town in the middle of nowhere NC for 4 years, despite the fact I love big cities. While there, I studied Communications, Psychology, & American Sign Language. I was in a sign choir called Joyful Hands, 3 school bands, and some other clubs. I also worked at my school radio station and loved every min of it. WGWG 88.3 – it's online, check it out!

Me going to G-Dubb was def a "God thing" as opposed to a "me thing" and I wouldn't change that for anything in the world!

I think it would do a world of good for me if I could fly and/or teleport myself to places.
Sometimes, I kinda wish I was like Peter Pan, both to fly and to never have to grow up.

The deep-seeded travel bug I've had since birth, is kinda like a double-edged sword at times. Seeing new places, experiencing new cultures, and doing new things is BY FAR one of my fave things in the universe to do… which I would never ever ever try to change! But, it also makes it so that no matter where you are ur always missing someone far away and oftentimes thinking of where you might go next.

"In his heart, a man plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps" Proverbs 16:9

I kinda have the heart of a gypsy and the life of a nomad… I hate staying in 1 place too long

I understand human plans can always change, so I'm just waiting on the unveiling of God's ultimate plan for my life. This brings me to the World Race and nearing the end of my first blog…

Toby Mac: (I Was) Made to Love

Stay tuned… More about my interests/hobbies/passions, past travels, post-college life, and all that good stuff to come soon… This first blog as well as my next are all important to who I am, what I enjoy, where I'm going, & why I believe w/out hesitation that the World Race journey is truly 100% EVERYTHING I both want and need to do this upcoming year. Soooo many things that pertain to the World Race are so core to who I am, what I believe, and what I want out of life, that I feel words can barely express the extent at which I'm looking forward to being a part of this wonderful ministry. I feel truly blessed to be a part of this amazingly adventurous, always changing, often crazy experience of a lifetime with awesome new friends. "Strangers are just friends u haven't met yet"

My ultimate fundraising goal is $15,000 to go towards all living / traveling costs while on the mission field for 11 months. Please, please, please prayerfully consider partnering with me on this journey with both your finances and your prayers. You can donate by clicking on the "Support Me" tab to the left of this blog and all donations are tax-deductable. I can't do this w/out ur support!!!
