Today was just an ordinary day… or so I thought when I woke up this morning. My team went to Casa Maria aka: "the grandpa house" old folks home for a couple of hours this morning then ate lunch en route to our 2nd ministry site of the day: Casa Jackson, which I absolutely love. Casa Jackson is a center for malnourished babies and here are a few pics from Team Ignite's first couple of days there:

After we got back from ministry, I laid in bed and listed to music for a couple hours until it was almost time for dinner. Our squad leaders Mike & Stacey prepared an awesome Thanksgiving-like meal for us tonight and we enjoyed fellowship with one another over some good food. Afterwards, the surprises began to flow in like crazy… at the end of dinner, Mike and my team leader Ryan had some kind words and prayers for our group, specifically geared towards us girls. Afterwards, we were told to close our eyes for a few moments because there was a surprise for us. The girls proceeded downstairs and the guys began to clean up dinner. Before we even got all the way downstairs, the awesomeness of the B-Squad boys began to be shown. There were candles, ice-cream, croissants, apple turnovers, coffee, music, flowers, and personalized notes for all of us girls! How awesome is that?! They not only did good, but they did SUPER good! Honestly, not only were they awesome & encouraging to us tonight, but they are every single day. I'm so blessed to have them on my team/squad and I know it's going to be an amazing year!

Thanks & God bless!
