Well, y'all should be pretty aware by now that my written communication skills have been severely lacking. (I'm working on it…)

Firstly, I have met my April deadline (I'm currently at $12,000) and will be continuing on the World Race!

Secondly, I have a photo blog that you should all be subscribed to, because it's the best way to SEE what I see on the Race! check it- seerobinfly.tumblr.com

Thirdly, a short recap of month two. Last you heard from me I was in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala. Last month we traveled from there to La Libertad, El Salvador, where team Lionsong was on our own, just the six of us with a host mom, for the whole month! We lived with Guadalupe (Mama Lupe), a woman in her fifties, currently in seminary. She opened her home and her heart to us, and without speaking a word of English, loved us as her own children. During the week we spent most of our days at the local elderly shelter cleaning and visiting with the residents. One evening a week we attended a bible study with Lupe; the other nights we had ample team time- very different from Guatemala where we led services at church almost EVERY week night. In El Salvador we were also privileged to visit a bilingual K-12 school several times and share the Gospel, perform skits, and spend time with the kids. On the Sundays we attended church in the morning at a large congregation 20 minutes from our house called Templo Christiano-Assemblies of God. After church we would drive 1.5 hrs to a mountain village called Calderitas to spend the afternoon visiting with and praying for families, and preach/lead worship at their church service in the evening.

The Best of El Salvador:

Pupusas. These are thick corn tortillas filled with cheese, refried beans, and different kinds of meat. There were pupuserias on every street, and our host mom taught us how to make these from scratch!

Dramas. Our team had so much down time, and we spent a lot of that learning and practicing skits and dramas.

Solo hablandamos español. No one outside of our team spoke a lick of English- including our host mom. No one within our team spoke a lick of spanish…except Chase, who, although not fluent, got us through the entire month as our only translator!

Team time. Lots of team time. Every moment, of every day…for one month. Hundreds of inside jokes, more than enough dirt on everyone- you know about every habit, every pet peeve, and every bowel movement. Hours of movie-watching, game nights, and barrow loads of laughter. Top it all off with buckets full of tears, deeper levels of accountability, total vulnerability, and a new realm of walking in the Spirit.

After El Salvador our squad traveled to Honduras where we had our first D Squad Debrief (Debrief defined: 4 days of squad recuperation/reflection/worship after every two months on the race).

You may be asking, "Where are you now?"

Since the 15th of March we've been partnered with Zion's Gate ministries outside of Tegucigalpa, the capitol of Honduras. More to come on this month's ministry in future blogs!
