We finally made it to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala. Let me share a little bit about our placement. Team Lion Song (my team) and Team Cherished (another all girl team) have partnered up and are living at Casa Verde. We are so blessed to have beds, running water, and Hermana (Sister) Ada cooks all our meals! It's been an enchanting first few days, and I'm completely in love with Guatemala already. Our ministry hosts, Paul and Hilda, run Fe Love, an online Christian radio station, as well as an internet cafe. They host World Race, YWAM, and AIM teams on a regular basis at Casa Verde.
Through the week we will be working with different ministries. Monday we visited an orphanage and played with the beautiful children.
Tuesday we visited the children's hospital, Wednesdays the nursing home, Thursdays we'll minister to the Pto. Barrios prostitutes, and Fridays we'll visit the children living at the city dump. We'll also be doing a youth soccer ministry and attending several church services weekly.
I can't wait to share all the stories of the experiences I have here! The Lord's presence is so thick in this place I know there will be plenty.
