The Bible says that God is always with us. That He will
never leave us nor forsake us. Recently, God has been showing me how true this
statement is! The other day, my team and I were driving in the back of Pastor
Manuel’s truck on the way to our ministry site in Mogollon, a small village
outside of San Juan, DR. I was enjoying the cool breeze and gazing at the
luscious green rice fields and the beautiful mountains, when I felt Gods love
and peace encompassing me. Then, I suddenly had a flashback to a time when I
lived on Wago, the street I grew up on in Pueblo, out in the county. I was
around 12 years old and playing alone in my front yard during the summertime. I
remember standing on the front lawn and feeling a wonderful feeling of peace
and comfort… the same feeling that
I had the other day in the truck… the feeling of God’s presence! Since the day
in the truck, I have had two or three other times that I felt God’s presence
and had a flashback to another time BEFORE I knew Christ, and felt the SAME
feeling. These flashbacks were completely unexpected and definitely a gift of
revelation from God. God wanted me to know that He has never left me and that
He has always loved me, my ENTIRE life, even before I knew who He was. God is
so GOOD and so FAITHFUL that He is there with us, and loves on us even when we
fail to notice Him, or even if we don’t believe in Him. He is ALWAYS with us!
He is our heavenly Father! He is a good Daddy and He loves us so hard! I am so
thankful to God for revealing this truth to me so vividly! Praise it!
