Dogs bark and yelp and wag their tails to greet;
they also make very tasty meat!
While frogs may hop in waters murky,
when they are fried, they taste like jerky.
I’ll eat crickets- they’re big ol’ things!
Just don’t forget to first take off their wings!

Did you know that Asia’s really hot?
This means that you’ll sweat a lot!
Though some don’t think it’s quite so nice,
I like that every meal comes with rice.
 (notice the sweat marks!)

Some drive on the right, and some on the left,
but in Cambodia, either side’s best!

Jackfruit, durian and mangosteen-
so many fruits I’ve never seen!
I’ll try them once, though they may seem scary-
have you seen rambutan? It looks hairy!

Tok-toks fill the roads while you’re here,
but you can take a motobike if you have no fear!

Have you heard of Angkor Wat?
It is also very hot!
It’s one of the world Wonders (there are 7)-
and with our slush pineapple drinks,
         well, we were in heaven!

Monks are common on the street,
you’ll see their orange robes and bare feet!

I enjoy the Fanta, there are flavors galore-
but after one, I always want more:
Pineapple, orange, lychee and sarsi
(which tastes like root beer and rhymes with Farsi).

Bopha’s iced coffee keeps me awake,
and when I say this, know I’m not being fake:
Regardless of the bugs I ate,
    Cambodia’s good, Cambodia’s great!

Now I must go, lia sunhai!
In Khmer, that means “good-bye”!
