Hey all sorry about the delay But here is an update. We arrived in Hydrabad about 2 weeks ago for launch which consisted of some more training and cultural briefings. I’ll blog about that later but first to more reacent new. We have been working with an NGO called India Christian Ministries and Sarah’s Covenant Homes, Ongole, India. Our team “Rapha” is here with another World Race team Ripple Effect. Mostly this week we have been working with Sarah’s Covenant homes which is a home for orphaned children with special needs. Sara best describe the vision as such:

“Children with developmental disabilities and neurological special needs are the most likely to be abandoned and least likely to be adopted children in India. The Lord told me, “Feed My lambs.” I find these overlooked and undernourished (in all senses) lambs languishing in institutional orphanages or hospitals, and bring them home, providing them with love, education, therapy, medical & surgical care, and LIFE in a family-style environment.”

Serving Sara at the children’s home has been a truely unique experience. On the first day I helped Theresa, an educator for children with special needs and in charge of running the home, creating programs, etc, with replacing the feeding a feeding tube for a small 18month old baby who was born with primordial dwarfism which was a success. Funny how the first thing I end up doing is medical and I want nothing to do with that.

Also our team has just gotten over some sickness that started with me and went around, but thankfully we are all fully recovered and only 5 got sick. It was frustrating because it just sucked the energy out of me. But I think God used it to help bring the team closer. So continue to pray for us and support us as a team hopefully more updates now that I am recovered
