This month we are with our whole squad (40 people) working at El Shaddai orphanage in Swaziland. El Shaddai was founded and is run by a woman named Charmain who answered the call of God and is a blessing to so many children.
Each morning from 8-12, we have been doing construction work around the property and lending helping hands wherever it has been needed. So far, this has mostly consisted of cleaning, organizing, taking care of babies, maintenance work, and doing a lot of painting. In the afternoons, each of us are paired with our very own kid that we spend time with after they finish school. We help them with their homework, play games with them, and just really try to build great relationships with them as we pour in to their lives the Love of God.
It has been really hard hearing all of these horrific stories pertaining to how some of these children have ended up here and to be honest, it really pisses me off to hear story after story of parents abusing and neglecting these defenseless children. Thankfully, God has rescued these children from their abusive homes and has started the restoration process.
I ask that you be in prayer for the children of El Shaddai, that Gods mighty hand will be over this place of God as all around they are surrounded by darkness and witchcraft. That God will raise up a generation of Worshipers and Kingdom Warriors in a country that is known for the highest HIV rate in the world. That God will change the heart of Swaziland from the inside out and that they would instead be known for a people who love and fear The Lord.
