Throughout my time in Africa and now here in Asia, I find myself constantly encountering a very peculiar people group. At first glance they seem to be just your ordinary 'Joe' but in reality they are as counter cultural as they come. I can't tell them by the color of their skin, I can't tell them by their possessions, I can't tell them by the way they look or by the way they dress, I can only tell who they are by the Hope that is within them that completely transforms the cities in which they live. They constantly extend grace and share whatever they have with those in need, simply put they are selfless. When they walk through their communities almost everyone knows their names and are grateful for their presence in the neighborhood. They don't expect anything in return, they don't do it for the praise of man, they simply love being the tool in the hands of their God to flip this world upside down. They walk the streets with confidence, they know who they are, they walk the streets as Kingdom Warriors, they are the citizens of heaven.

The Citizens of Heaven:  the children of God, though in the world not of it, a redeemed people, bought at the price of the precious blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God.

Time and again I hear story after story of how God has restored their utterly broken and unredeemable lives to now using them to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to this fallen world. Extending grace and pouring out from the overflow of their complete adoration of the One who bought and redeemed their souls, they cultivate a heavenly atmosphere in their own lives that allows them to completely change the broken cities in which they live.

Since the race began, God has really been at work on my identity, showing me what it truly means to be a child of the King. My past redeemed, my future bright, the Kingdom within, My King on His throne. The devil tells me my past and that I am not cut out for this, I simply remind him of his future.

Too often we don't walk  in the fullness of what it truly means to be a child of the Living God. We weren't redeemed to play it safe and go to church once a week, we were redeemed to take back all that the enemy stole in the garden, Jesus is on His throne and simply put He said "Follow Me."

If not the children of God than who?  Be a Kingdom Warrior today!

Peace
