So I mentioned earlier that team changes were a possibility. Well, I now introduce my new team.

Team Prodigal

James Woodley (team leader): James is from Texas and graduated from Texas Tech in Mathematics. He actually graduated with his Masters in Mathematics back in May, which means he’s really smart with numbers. James is the only person on the squad with an IPad, which can provide great entertainment with mindless games when we’re bored in Moldova.

Kara Graham: Kara is from Michigan but went to college in Indiana. She graduated in . . . something related to personal fitness and health. She spent a year working at a gym as a personal trainer before leaving for the race. Kara actually just got accepted to grad school which she’ll be starting after the race. She’ll be studying more health related stuff and someday hopes to open her own gym, which means she may soon need some expert dodge ball players to earn some money.

Micah Higgins: Micah is from Arkansas and graduated from Arkansas Tech a couple years ago with a degree in Education. She spent the last couple years working as a program director for a local Boys and Girls Club before leaving for the race. Micah is an Atlanta Braves fan, which means she’s my new favorite teammate.

Alicia Tarjeft: Alicia is from Michigan and graduated in May from Rochester College with a degree in Social Work. She loves prepositional phrases and especially loves to say people’s names in a loud voice.

Stacey Compton: If you’re thinking this name sounds familiar, it’s probably because Stacey was on my old team. Yes, that’s right. Poor Stacey has to put up with me for several more months. Please pray for her. But anyways, Stacey is from Texas and graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Education. She spent a year teaching Computer class at a local elementary school in Texas before leaving for the race. Stacey is also a black belt in Tae-Kwan-Do so it’s best that I’m completely nice to her at all times.

So there’s my new team. I absolutely love them and know that it’s gonna be an awesome 8 (or however many) months doing ministry and growing with them. Please check out their blogs, support them, pray for them, love them.

P.S. There is of course a story behind our team name. You can check it out here
