Hola amigos!
After spending the night at the airport, flying out at 715 this morning, and only getting about an hour of sleep in the entire process, we arrived in the Dominican Republic at about 9 this morning. I am currently writing this from an internet cafe. Only 1 American dollar for 1 hour and 15 minutes! What a steal! However, the spacebar is messed up on the keyboard so it is taking me forever to write this blog. Today, they are easing us into everything. We had to buy groceries on our own today. But we discovered that most stuff is extremely cheap. However, it was pretty funny to see 1,400 come up as the total price since 35 pesos equals 1 American dollar.
The next few days, we´re gonna go through more training before we launch for our first ministry assignment at the end of the week. One thing that I´m enjoying is practicing what Spanish I know. I´m not real good at it but I hope to be better at it by the end of the month.
Well, that´s about it for now. I´m sure I´ll have a much more exciting blog when we begin our first ministry assignment.
