So God is always with us, I’m sure all of you know that. During The World Race process and the constant prayers Katie and I have spent on the subject, God has shown, multiple times, that he is asking us to trust Him in His calling for us. God has supported us in a way I have never seen before. From giving us money in times of need, to strangers coming up to us asking if they could pray for us.

     There have been days when life and bills seem overwhelming, but God always had His hand over us. Time after time when we think we have exhausted all options God always turns over a stone showing us that He has us protected. God’s protective hand over us and our marriage has been amazing. He has not only protected us, He has shown us that our decision to be apart of The World Race is where He wants us to go.

      Many people have supported our calling to serve, even complete strangers. The most recent experience was when Katie and I went to have a drink, after a YoungLife banquet, to talk about The World Race and to spend some quality time together, which has been difficult to do with both of us working and going to school. As we were talking a woman came up to us and started telling us her life story and all of the struggles she and her husband have been through. She told us how God had saved their relationship and helped them in their life. Toward the end of our conversation, she started talking to us about things that Katie and I were talking about together, in a way that made it seem like she knew what we had been talking about. It was kind of weird. After that she asked us if she and her husband could pray for us and for God’s calling in our lives. When Katie and I left to go home, we started talking about how strange it was for a complete stranger to come up to us to talk to us on a spiritual level. I have never had this happen to me. Even though it was odd, it was refreshing to see how God used this person to reassure our decision to go on this type of mission trip.

      Thank you all for supporting Katie and me in this life changing event. I know this is scary to many of our friends and families, it is also a little scary for Katie and me, but we can not live in fear. God is with us and will protect us. We love you all!

Until next time,

Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Matthew 28:19 says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
