I recently just got home from my Training Camp in Gainesville, Georgia, where I was able to meet my new little family I will be doing life with for the next 9 months. I would like to take a minute to introduce each one of them and how I see God in them already.
Starting on the back row on the far left is my new pal Erin. It was so fun to watch her grow with the Lord and experience his voice in many ways during the short time I was with her. She is so wise and taught me a lot about what it looks like to give myself over to the Lord and let him work how he desires, not how I want him to. The girl to the right of her, still on the back row, is Hallie. My sweet Hallie has the biggest heart for prayer and constantly would push my team to pray over each other no matter the situation. She encouraged and loved me so well over the 10 days, that I truly felt like I had known her my whole life. The next is Hannah. What a gift Han is to our team. I think I heard her complain like one time the whole 10 days, which is impressive if you were there doing some of the things we had to do. Hannah is such a bright light and makes it so easy to find joy in the hard things. The girl on the far right, in the back row, is Rachel. Rach has a unique story and was quick to share with us about how her past was transformed into a beautiful bran new life because of Jesus. She taught me that it’s okay to be vulnerable and that if I’m willing to share my story it could end up giving me an opportunity to share the gospel in a relatable way.
Now going down to the smaller row in the front, on the far left is Abby. Abby has the gift of changing perspectives. In times where she knew there needed to be an attitude change within our group, she would often just bring up a new idea or laugh to remind us that it was all going to be okay even if we were frustrated at the time. To the right of her is Malia. If you haven’t heard her sing you are definitely missing out. Her worship is powerful and full of life. She taught me that it’s okay to be free in my worship and that my song is for the Lord, not for those around me. And if you didn’t already know thats me right next to her haha.
I wish you could all meet my precious new family, but since you might not be able to I hope this gave you a little glimpse of how incredible and godly these women truly are. I genuinely can’t wait to keep learning from each one of these girls and share times together that will change my life forever.
Bring it on world. Team Agape is ready to be limitless.
