What the heck I’m in Swaziland!!!

This week we finally got to go to our care points after a good 5 days of rest and settling in. Our “care point” is where we will be working for the rest of our time. My team is at Moba 1 where we are hosted by our shepherd (or ministry host) named Cetulele (probably butchered that spelling lol sorry) but he is seriously the best. He likes to speak Spanish and has always wanted to go to Texas (who knows why.) He loves singing and laughing and calling the chickens to come attack us. He grew up in the community we are working at and then was trained by Adventures in Missions to run the care point. There we serve food to the kids cooked by our sweet “aunties,” we sing, we learn, we take lots of selfies, and we laugh a whole bunch. They all love the Lord really hard and serve their people with all they have. Let me tell you, it’s one of the most beautiful things to watch them treat the children as their own each and everyday, expecting nothing in return.

Our base is stationed in Nsogo, (uh something like that) where my whole squad is living for the next 3 months. Yay for close (CLOSE) community!! We wake up every morning to the gorgeous South African mountains, chickens usually, and the beautiful (FREAKING HOT) sun, right out our windows.

This place is so full of joy and adventure, it’s going to be incredible to see what the Lord does in our 3 months here. It’s time for africaaaaa!
