Shut up my parents came to Swaziland!!!

This past week spent with them has been so sweet I can hardly even put into words, but I’ll try. A few of the days we got to spend together, we went to care points. We did a house visit, played games with the kids, held babies, laughed with the aunties, and prayed a whole lot. It was so fun to have them as a part of my world and really experience what my everyday looks like.

Our other day of ministry we had, we planted fruit trees. The trees were planted so that within the next few years they would produce fruit for some of the locals to sell and create a profit from. Ours was an avocado tree. Look how cute!!

Every night after ministry we had worship where we just praised the Lord together. I have been singing beside my parents in church every since I was little, but this was different. Before the race I never really felt free in my worship, but I was so excited to get to worship with them now that I had found that complete freedom.

Then one night we did worship a little differently. We set up stations around the camp where my parents and I got to wash each others feet, take communion together,  and just deepen our relationship in a lot of different ways.

We drank a lot of mugg and bean, took a lot of selfies, had a lot snuggles, laughed and cried a lot and just enjoyed each others company. It was really cool to see what the Lord was doing in my parents and what he was doing in me as we finally reunited for a little bit. I wish they could’ve done the rest of the race with me but, I guess since they can’t, it’s another goodbye for now! Thanks for flying 17 hours to see me!!
