Family & Friends,
I want to share some exciting news with you! I have been accepted as a student at The Justice Training School in Thailand! This program will add an additional month exactly at the end of my race, June 23 to July 14.
The school is through a christian based organization, Love Justice Global. LJG is an anti-trafficking organization that dedicates itself to providing top quality long term restoration and after-care to children rescued from the injustices of human trafficking and exploitation in India & Thailand. Through The Justice Training School I will become certified in Global Injustice Response Training and live in Thailand for three weeks while becoming educated and trained by world renowned professionals to combat this nefarious crime on the front lines. I will have the honor of working with and reaching out to those enslaved, working in refugee camps, and so much more!
During these three weeks, we will walk through three modules of training: God’s heart for justice and understanding complexities, rescue and restoration and ethics and outreach. I will gain more knowledge in services and care for survivors of trauma and human trafficking and gain ongoing support through their mentorship program.
My initial payment of $1,200 is due January 1st, 2019
I have to raise $3,700 total plus approximately $1,200 for my flights to Thailand from Indonesia and home.
I prayerfully ask if you would consider contributing to the work I will be participating in by making a donation towards my tuition. To make donations easier, I have created an ADOPT-A-BOX. The box you select is the amount you wish to donate, $25 box = a donation of $25.
If you wish to partner with me, please visit https://www.grouprev.com/justicetrainingrileymchenry and click on the “GIVE NOW” button to donate. I cannot do this without your help. I know that God wants me to go beyond my comfort zone and fight for the freedom of others. My prayer is that I can become educated and equipped to eradicate injustice and bring light into the dark places. I feel blessed to have this incredible opportunity and know there is a lot of work ahead as I begin to prepare.
