Friends and family, my heart has been stolen by our current groupie, Frannie (small scruffy, black and white pup) and our rainstorm conquer Roscoe (Bluetick Pointer).

Since day one in Frutillar Frannie has followed us everywhere. I try not to touch her because she is a stray but she is the kindest dog. She wants to give you all the kisses she can and have you give her scratches. Today I rubbed my thumb softly between her eyes on her nose and she closed her eyes with joy.

Our first two trips down to the lake I noticed Roscoe but today was different. We passed him as the rain poured down and he followed us all the way back to our house, 2.5 miles in the rain. We dried him off and wrapped him in a blanket. After dinner we gave him a little snack and noticed blood on the ground. My heart went into rescue mode and I medicated and wrapped a decent sized cut on his foot. He loves belly loves and hugs. He is now our house dog.

I have made it a personal mission to take them to the vet before I leave and have Frannie properly treated for worms. We believe she either has a bloated belly from those or is pregnant. I also want to have two sores on Roscoe’s head and foot properly treated.

There are a lot of strays here, well-fed strays, but still strays. I have only become attached to these two, thankfully. It is hard when you can do nothing for the animals since we don’t live here.

I would love prayers for this sweet girl and boy as I plan to take them to the vet. If you feel called, or would like to help me heal these pups, I would greatly appreciate a $5 to $10 donation to help pay for the vet costs. If you would like to help let me know! (don’t donate for this through my blog)
