So we have arrived here in Peru. We are staying with another team in Loredo, a small sugar cane burnin' town. Everything we need is within walking distance. The streets are filled with vans passed off as buses and motorbikes with coverings used as taxis. Mountains and sand hills are in plain sight behind all of the crops.
My host family consists of Betty (the mom), Orlando (the dad), and their three daughters Daniela, Melanie, and Gabriella along with their black lab Balto. Sweetest family. I'm sharing a room with the eldest daughter Daniela who is 14 and an amazing musician. She hates math and if I was any good at math I'd help her with her homework. So instead we talk in spanglish about our lives.
The youth here at the church are so awesome! They like to teach us songs and dances about God's promises and joke with us about our culture. We talk about hopes and dreams. They all have great heads on their shoulders.
We have colaborated as two teams and have planned several things we want to do as far as ministry goes and I'm really excited. We are all stepping out into our creativity a bit moreand it's a lot of fun.
